Tickets and seating arrangements for the Ford Center for Performing Arts, Illinois and Grant Park
In 1926, it opened as simply the Oriental Theatre. He was one of beautiful movie palaces built during that time and was designed to give visitors a luxury experience during their stay in the theater. The old Iroquois Theater was previously built in the same place, but was destroyed by fire in 1903. For more than a decade after the filing of such exploitation films, theater East was closed. The original architects George and Cornelius Rapp also build the Chicago Theatre. In 1990, the Oriental Theatre was restored and became known as the Center Ford for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre.
Many notable performances from legendary artists have been represented at the Ford Center of Performing Arts, Danny Kaye, Al Jolson, Cab Calloway, George Burns, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. In addition, many notable productions were presented at the Ford Center for Performing Arts as well. Ragtime fantastic musical success marked the reopening of the theater in 1999 and was a successful debut. Patrons of all ages more than 5 are allowed in the theater, but must have a ticket to enter. Once inside, the seating options abound. From the balcony to the mezzanine level, there is ample sites available with excellent views to the stage of each seat. To maximize your experience at the Ford Center of Performing Arts, you can arrive 30 minutes before a show for seats home. Be sure to leave cameras and tape recorders at home, and are not allowed in the theater at any time. All performances begin promptly on time, which means that if you are going to be late, may have to wait to be seated at the discretion of management.
Grant Park Chicago is another great destination to go out under the stars and enjoy a night of entertainment. The surface is almost as old as the country itself. In 1844, he was officially appointed a park and a lake called the Park, as it was the lakefront property. Be prepared for crowds, but to anticipate the time of your life if you choose to attend festivals like The Chicago Jazz Festival, Taste of Chicago, Lollapalooza or the Chicago Blues Festival. You want to spend some time in the Buckingham Fountain, where there is a light and screen of water during the warm weather lasting an hour.
