Showing your home with pets
While most everyone in America has at least one pet, they can still cause a bit of a kerfuffle when about selling your home. It turns out that even though we all love our pets do not own all the others around the world the love of their choice in pets. There are some reasons why potential buyers are not delighted to see pet or evidence of pets in a home you are looking to buy. First, pet odor. There are many people who have no physical problem with animals that do not want to see a sample of pure fear. People who are afraid cats are much less common, but still worth noting.
Terrariums with snakes, tarantulas, lizards, or other "Bugs" definitely have to be moved away from home to display. It is estimated that up to half of all women are afraid of spiders and one quarter of the people, regardless of sex, fear of snakes. Do yourself a favor and send these pets on vacation or you can be sure that some potential buyers are not sticking around to see what looking than the rest of your house.
Remember that the trick to selling your home is to encourage people to see themselves living in your space. To see their pets and their toys during a demonstration at best make it harder to see themselves as owners of the house and at worst to be scared of a sample. Do not take any risk losing one more example of something that is so easy to predict. Remove all pets and accessories from the home, the faster you can sell your home faster can easily get a new home.
