Vikings Will Travel to California?
My wife swears up and down he saw a history channel show that says there Vikings in California. I know Archaeological excavations have been to prove that the Vikings landed in Canada, and I know there are still some in Minnesota Vikings, but I have not heard Viking California is real. Maybe someone can shed some light on the subject. THANK YOU
I think it can be confusing two different parts of a story: It is said by some * Chinese explorers who came to California before Columbus reached the Caribbean. The article I have included in the Sources section below mentioned site archaeological site in Nova Scotia that some in the "The Chinese beat Columbus' camp believe is actually a pre-Columbian Chinese settlement. Others believe it is a Nordic (Viking) outpost. His wife might have seen a segment on that in a larger program on the possibility of the Chinese in California and did not realize that program had jumped from one side of the continent to the other.
