What is the meaning of blonde hair and why it is so desirable for everyone?

Myth and History

When speaking of hair, some questions in the mind. Which is why so broad admiration for the blond hair? Why "men Prefer Blondes "and why dark-haired women of the Mediterranean area constantly chlorine hair, and why people of African origin stained black hair yellow?

The answer to these questions lies in the remote past, but not overly complicated, but in the overall worship gold. Gold is the symbol of the sun and trademarks of the key features granted to the sun as a deity: power, strength and durability. But the symbolism of gold is not only physical but spiritual. Like the sun, which represents the gold shines by itself with a steady light, not dark and does not tarnish. This feature is considered not only physical but also spiritual, referring to it as having the qualities of purity, wisdom, nobility, respect, divinity, enlightenment, and eternity.

It is clear that there is no place on earth where the sun has been worshiped in one way or another. The Bible expresses the character of the sun and the importance in some places. The prophet Malachi says, "The Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings …" (Chapter 4, 2), and in the Psalms says, "For the Lord God is a sun and shield … "(Ch. 84, 12). A common phrase in modern Hebrew says:" As clear as the sun ", which expresses the fact that the sun acts in the light of day and has nothing to hide. The Norse god Balder Sun called "the eye of heaven", and when he is killed by Hodder, god of darkness and hell, a long period of winter darkness is created when nothing grows until the sun is reborn. Santa Claus, whose dwelling is the North Pole, represents the young sun in this festival, as seen by their red clothes (His white beard symbolizes the snow, rather than old age). In ancient Egypt, the worship of the sun was well developed, and either the Phoenicians or the Vikings may have been those who had brought to America (s. below).

But what does all this have to do with hair gold? In many common human hair is considered to have an individual physical and spiritual power. Biblical Samson (Shimshon in Hebrew, whose name is connected with the sun – Shemesh), called "the hero, lost his great power when his head was shaved of hair just gorgeous and when it started to grow again, he was capable of destroying an entire temple by cutting down the pillars with their own hands. The combination of golden hair, then, represents the divine superiority, power and control.

The tints of gold can change the most beautiful blond hair to the darkest red, and despite the visible difference between them, all they symbolize the connection with the sun supreme deity, and spiritual attributes these characteristics. Thus, even in cultures where black hair and brown are considered beautiful, lighter colors are believed to express special qualities. The Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl – the initiator of the Kon Tiki and Ra voyages from South America to Polynesia and North Africa to America – He mentioned a myth, told the Native American with black hair, saying the most important American cultures (Mayans, Incas and Aztecs) were developed by skinned people white, bearded, these people, they say, came from an unknown place and disappeared into the Pacific Ocean, where it reappeared in the form of giant sculptures red hair Aku Aku Polynesian culture.

It is quite possible that the bearded white men were descendants of the Vikings, who came to America in the eighth century up to tenth, but could have been seafaring Phoenicians, who came to America long before North Africa, bringing with them pieces of the old culture Egypt – like the pyramids, for example. Red haired people are fairly common among the peoples of the Mediterranean, which are a very mixed race, two of the most outstanding mention of it is biblical King David, and Esau the Edomite – Adom means "red" in Hebrew.

Originally, all human beings, having developed in Africa, must have had dark skin and hair, as can be seen in our closest relatives, chimpanzees, and as expected from the conditions of heat in that area, the dark pigment acts as a protection against heat. Homo sapiens only when the people left Africa and arrived in northern Europe, could afford to waive the protection against heat, conservation of energy for the creation of dark pigmentation, and the means of protection developed against the cold in the form of body hair, and height and physique bony, skin under heavy clothing. Scandinavia is the only place on earth where he developed skin hair never clear.

This light skin and hair probably evolved from an albino mutation, which is well known among the black tribes of Africa, but while in Africa is a disadvantage in the Scandinavian countries had its merits and spread through the population, along with straight hair and beard thick. The initial agreement in northern Europe is said to have taken place towards the end of the last ice age, as the ice began to retreat, about 12,000 before This, at that time, the settlers were quite isolated from the rest of the continent, thus becoming a purebred blonde robust. With the melting of the ice these people began to move outward, seeking more territory with food they can provide. Presumably, their strong bodies and minds, is used to the harsh conditions of North was stronger than other races and how to help them overcome any conflict between the tribes. Such confrontations, either by violence (rape) or by consent mutual lead to mixing and assimilation of races, creating all kinds of hair colors that appear throughout the European population: the fair, gold, carrot, copper and brown, the result of blond and brown mixed with black.

Next Sun worship many gods and heroes they represent are considered in many places around the world as having blond hair or gold, and since the sun represents fertility, so did the figures also symbolizes love as a sign of fertility. This is how Robert Graves presented by the White Goddess of fertility among the rest, in his book by that name: "The goddess is a beautiful, thin woman with a hooked nose, deathly pale face, lips, eyes red as rowan berries, "surprisingly long blonde hair blue … "(P. 24). This description is very close to the appearance of a Viking woman, despite Graves fixed its origin in the Mediterranean basin, the population of black hair. Aphrodite goddess of love is said to have emerged from the sea in Cyprus, according to many original paintings of ancient Greece, which was supposed dark hair – as she is in fact present often, Botticelli, however, he painted his famous picture of her with golden hair.

Like Aphrodite is the Celtic figure "Niamah with the" Golden Hair, whose name means "Sun Tear" divine personality is expressed in the story of how the hero Oisin led his horse to the post-death 'Islands of Happiness. "Celts or dark brown hair was also a sun god named Lugh, who was described as having golden hair shining in the sunlight. Like he, on a dime 14. French duende, the figure of King Arthur of Wales appears with hair of gold, though the Welsh are usually dark hair, the whole picture is steeped in the golden atmosphere of the sun. Arturo was originally known as a military leader of the sixth five-percent., Y real medieval atmosphere it completely out of his tribe original belonging, putting him in place of a connection environment of regional gold divine Arthurian myths to connect with the death and reviving god of the sun, and even the figure of Jesus as a symbol of the sun. It is well known that Jesus was painted with consistency and Christian artists as having golden hair, in strong contrast to its Mediterranean origin.

The sun might be god, then, whether man or woman, anti-Semitic myths were both the Babylonian god Shamash and the Shamash or Shapash Canaanite goddess. A Native American history of the deity Sol Mexican spoke of a goddess called Chalchuialico, who was fourth sun goddess to rule after the three before her had vanished, but before she became a goddess of the Sun was a goddess dressed in green water, which had copper hair. For hundreds of years the sun goddess provides light and heat, while women and men appeared on earth. But other gods jealous, and the God of Darkness (reminiscent of the Scandinavian Hodder), was bothered to be shed tears to the earth and all disappeared into the darkness. In the end, the gods decided to create a fifth sun, and it also had to sacrifice, what we do actually the sun and moon. The sacrifice to the sun would be the goddess Nanna bit (again, reminiscent of Old World deity associated with the Nordic countries Balder). While that the gods were burning their sacrifice, an eagle (one of the most prominent symbols of the sun) got the body of the fire in the form of a fireball is fixed in sky as it was wrapped in her golden hair.

Many golden-haired figures appear in folk tales, which have developed from ancient myths, a legendary woman as Isolde, Tristan's lover, famous not only for medieval poetry and a novel by the 19th cent. The French author Joseph Bedier, but also of the Opera Wagner. The legend says that when Mark, the king of Cornwall, Isolde's golden hair was in the nest of a bird, said she would marry only with the owner of that hair. When it was discovered that the hair belonged to Isolde, the Princess Royal Irish, Tristan was sent to bring it to Mark, and how they fell in love. Isolda is a typical goddess of love for the hero must die in the end.

It is also possible to find blonde heroines in the tales of the Grimm Brothers' Fairy. One of these heroines is Rapunzel, who is said to have had "great hair long and fine as spun gold," another is the Goose Girl, which shook the locks "were all of pure silver." Folk tales, in turn have become modern fiction, and other divine woman with hair of gold is Irene, heroin Galsworthy The Forsyte Saga. She is described by the author as resembling a pagan goddess, whose form states that the goddess of love.

From literature to real life, the next kind of goddess of love can be found among the goddesses of our time, who are movie stars. Some of them are known to have dyed her hair blonde in order to improve the concept of them, and as modern goddess love is Madonna, who is not even beautiful, but is distinguished by his blond hair. The right choice for the title, however, is Marilyn Monroe, who became famous for his film Men Prefer Blondes. Monroe certainly looked like a goddess of love, with her hair dyed dark blond original thereof body beautiful curves, and the many stories about their relationships with men, the increase of that illusion. That combination of their appearance, their profession and their behavior Marilyn Monroe was definitely a throw back to pagan times and sun worship. No wonder, then, that many women like to imitate, at least to become blonde pull back but can also affect men with dark hair, who prefer to increase their external personality in this way.
