When do deer shed their antlers? ?
I live in New York and was looking for Whitetail sheds this morning. My husband and I found a lot of trails, footprints, scratches, and deer poop, but not cast. Are we too early? When start to fall white-tailed deer antlers? Thanks!
I used to live in western New York and saw the deer had horns still March. I have also found a blood recently fallen (yet base) till the day after Thanksgiving one year. It depends on the deer, general health, food availability, etc when they drop their antlers. Most deer are inclined soon if not already done so. You can make a pole trap.
